Sonic 3 is racing home on Digital HD January 21. I had the chance to sit down with Colleen O'Shaughnessey, voice of Tails, to hear more about his big moments in the latest Sonic the Hedgehog film, Sonic 4 hopes, and more!

Tails is the unsung hero of Team Sonic. And I really love that we got to see him flex that intellect in the movie, hacking into the security system. You know better than anybody, but I really feel like they've only scratched the surface with what Tails is capable of.
“I agree. I mean, I really feel like he's coming into his own. He's getting more confident, he's able to kind of talk both of them down, [or] at least try. He swooped in and saved the day so many times. I think he's ready for more, for sure.”
You have been on this journey with Tails for a while now from the games to tv shows to the movies. Are there any adventures that you would love to see cross over into maybe Sonic 4 or a Tails spinoff? Because hey, if Knuckles can have one, Tails gets one too.
“I think a spinoff would be amazing. I would love a backstory, an origin story series for Tails. I think that would be really, really, really interesting. I could do baby Tails, which would be so…I mean, he's so cute. You want to hug him anyway, but even littler would be amazing.
As far as going forward, his gadgets are getting more intricate and more involved and less glitchy. I think that confidence that he's feeling is also going into his gadgets. Then the family aspect, he's found his people and he's got people that he loves and they love him. And he's, you know, such a great support system for all of them.”
