Daredevil Born Again Season 2 Episode 1: The season 2 premiere is here and it doesn’t disappoint. The devil dons a new suit, Fisk is up to something even shadier than before, and Daredevil gets some help from an unlikely source. According to the BB report, the people of New York are on Mayor Fisk’s side.
Daredevil is watching a cargo ship in port- The Northern Star. He’s wearing his new suit- the Shadowland Suit. It’s all black with two red ‘Ds’ on it. In the comics, Daredevil wore the new black suit with red highlights in the Shadowland run.
He boards the ship and finds cargo crates full of illegal weapons. He leaves a watch in one of the boxes in order to be able to find it again. The captain and co-captain sink the ship, per the instructions they were given.
Matt and Karen are hiding out at Josie’s. He tells her about what Fisk is smuggling through Freeport.
The ship is now blocking the port and causing issues for New York. Fisk claims it was a terrorist attack by the vigilante of Hell’s Kitchen. He wants the hunt for Daredevil and Karen Page to intensify.
Matthew Lilliard’s Mr. Charles is at a bar in DC watching the news about the Freeport blockage. He tells the person on the phone he will go up there himself, dropping the phone in his glass of whiskey. In the comics, Mr. Charles was in charge of the illegal drills that took place on the Roxxon Discovery.
Attorney General Steverud and Lieutenant Governor Gomez are meeting with Fisk. They are concerned about his Safer Streets Initiative, upcoming Vigilante Trials, and the emergency power he has given himself.
Mr. Charles shows up, claiming to be from Langley. Steverud gets a phone call and ends it by telling Fisk he can do whatever he wants.
Jack Duquesne aka The Swordsman is being held at some undisclosed place, awaiting his trial. He is visited by Heather Glenn who claims he is hostile, delusional, and hates authority. She is there on behalf of Fisk and District Attorney Hochberg.
During her questioning of Jack, she hallucinates Muse. She threatens Jack, telling him if he doesn’t comply he will be hurt badly.
Kirsten is trying to help all the people the Task Force keeps picking up along with Cherry. She is worried about Matt but Cherry thinks he will be fine. Hochberg arrives to try to get Kirsten not to fight him in court. She is representing Jack. He knows her evidence won’t matter. Meanwhile Cherry gets a text from Matt.
The Task Force pulls up in front of Aegean Gardens Restaurant. They are looking for Achilleo and Christofi, the crew of The Northern Star.
Someone hijacks the BB Report stream in costume as Mayor Kingpin. He says BB’s Uncle Ben Urich would be disappointed in her for working with Fisk. This man also calls Daredevil a Dastardly Dogooder.
BB shows up at Daniel Blake’s party. He once again defends Fisk and she warns him to watch out. Inside his home is. Godfather poster.
Matt visits the Aegean Garden to tell Ariana that they are on the same team. She recognizes him as Matt Murdoch, a man who is supposed to be missing or dead.
Powell is torturing Achilleo, trying to find out where Christofi has run away to. He doesn’t know and Buck kills him.
Mr. Charles shows up to meet with Fisk and Vanessa. He tells Fisk he needs to be ok with killing everyone who helps unload the boat.
BB is one of Karen’s informants. Karen feels guilty about the death of BB’s uncle.
Heather fudges Jack’s psych evaluation to make him seem crazy.
Matt is training and mentions years of learning under a ruthless sensei. He is referring to Stick.
The Task Force shows up at Cherry’s apartment. He warns Matt. Daredevil shows up to save Cherry and the fight goes poorly. Matt is unmasked as Cherry has a heart attack. A sniper takes out all the Task Force agents and a knife flies through the window with the word “You’re Welcome” and a BULLSEYE carved into it.
