Over the weekend, we spent the day at the Maryland Zoo, an Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) accredited zoo. That means it meets the highest standards in animal care and provide a fun, safe, and educational family experience. And thanks to Stonyfield you can get free kids' admission into one of these amazing zoos.
When you visit an AZA zoo you not only get a great day with your family but you are helping to support animal conservation and welfare.
It was an overcast day, but perfect for a walk at the zoo. We have never visited this one before, and what a gem. There are daily activities with the keepers, hands on experiences, and even a huge slide built into a giant tree.
We saw several different animals, learning more about them from the keepers on hand. Did you know Porcupines do not have quills on their bellies. If they did they would not be able to walk backwards.
The kids also got to feed a giraffe! He was such a sweet boy too!
Stonyfield YoKids is sponsoring the AZA SAFE (Saving Animals from Extinction) program on a mission to help save endangered species.
As part of a year-long effort, Stonyfield will not only be contributing funds to field work but aiming to drive kids and their families to see animals and conservation projects first hand at zoos, aquariums, and on the ground where the research is happening. Stonyfield YoKids’ sponsorship of AZA SAFE will support conservation efforts for 10 endangered species.
This elephant decided the grass was greener and tastier on the other side of the fence!
Free Kid’s Zoo or Aquarium Admission
From now until the end of September, families who buy two specially-marked YoKids yogurt multipacks will receive a free kid’s admission to their local AZA-accredited zoo or aquarium when they also buy an adult ticket. Just look for the most adorable animals in the yogurt aisle!

This looks like such a fun zoo to go to! I have never been to Maryland Zoo, but we live in PA so it’s not too terribly far from us. Our kids love going to zoos.
I love how close you are able to get to the animals! This isn’t terribly far for us either! My daughter loves Stoneyfield products!

What a wonderful family day. The zoo looks so fun. I like that Stonyfield gives back and the yogurt drinks are healthy.
My kids love Stonyfield products so I cannot wait to pick some up and head to the zoo with them! I’m definitely adding this zoo to our list when we visit the area the end of the month!
