July 20, 2017 By Ashley 27 Comments

I don't know about you, but this uber Disney nerd was glued to her phone watching Twitter and FB lives for all the juicy bits coming out of D23 Expo. Although I wasn't there in person *sad face,* I have all the Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios D23 Expo 2017 News!
**For the live action Disney, Marvel Studios, and Lucasfilm panel updates go here.

COCO

Due in theaters November 22, fans were treated to a live performance of “Remember Me,” sung by Anthony Gonzalez (Miguel) and Benjamin Bratt (Ernesto de la Cruz).

Despite his family’s odd generations-old ban on music, Miguel dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz. One night, Miguel finds himself transported to the colorful Land of the Dead.

OLAF’S FROZEN ADVENTURE

Opening in front of Coco in November is this all new short. Josh Gad, Olaf himself, surprised everyone with a live performance of the all-new original song “That Time of Year.”

INCREDIBLES 2

Yes Incredibles 2!! We have been wanting a sequel to this since the original debuted. Disney Pixar is finally granting us this wish! Director Brad Bird, revealed details of the upcoming caper, which puts the family into an expanded universe that includes new allies and a brand-new villain. “‘Incredibles 2’ is really a family film, it’s just that the family happens to have super powers,” said Bird. “They may have super speed or super strength, but they experience the same problems as any family.”

Incredibles 2 is in theaters everywhere on June 15th, 2018!

RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET: WRECK-IT RALPH 2

Fans were the first to see the global debut of a scene from the film that pays hilarious homage to the Disney Princesses. In a moment no Disney fan will forget (this one had me cheering), Auli‘i Cravalho (“Moana”), Kristen Bell (Anna in “Frozen”), Kelly MacDonald (Merida in “Brave”), Mandy Moore (Rapunzel in “Tangled”), Anika Noni Rose (Tiana in “The Princess and the Frog”), Irene Bedard (“Pocahontas”), Linda Larkin (Jasmine in “Aladdin”), Paige O’Hara (Belle in “Beauty and the Beast”) and Jodi Benson (Ariel in “The Little Mermaid”) were welcomed on stage for the largest gathering of Disney Princesses in history!

Ralph is leaving the arcade behind and venturing into the internet. It's a whole new world out there, but luckily he has his friends Vanellope von Schweetz, Fix-It Felix, and Sergeant Calhoun. Along the way they meet Yesss, a new character who owns the website Buzzaholic, and knows about everything on trend.
Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It-Ralph 2 is in theaters November 21st, 2018!

UNTITLED DAN SCANLON MOVIE

Director Dan Scanlon, who helmed Pixar’s “Monsters University,” shared a few details about an all-new original feature film currently in production. Scanlon, who lost his father at a very young age, says the film is inspired by the question he’s always asked: who was my father? The story is set in a world only elves, trolls and sprites. “In the film, we’re going to tell the story of two teenage elf brothers whose father died when they were too young to remember him. But thanks to the little magic still left in the world, the boys embark on a quest that will allow them a chance to spend one last magical day with their father.”
