Skeleton Crew Episode 5 Easter Eggs & Breakdown
Wendle is visited at work by Nooma, Neel's mother. She tells him they need a barrier access code. She gives him a tool that will get him into the system.
A Safety Droid catches Wendle using the tool. Fara covers for him and has the droid erase its memory of the incident.
Fara is trying to go through the proper channels but Wendle doesn't believe The Supervisor will help them.
On the Onyx Cinder, they turn SM-33 back on. He promises not to attack them because those were the old Captain's orders- Captain Tak Rennod.
Jod tells the kids that Rennod is the most infamous pirate in the galaxy. The story goes he was searching for the treasure of At Attin when he disappeared.
SM-33 doesn't remember the coordinates but he says the Captain had them in his lair under Skull Ridge Mountain. This is likely a nod to Skull Rock, home of the pirates in Peter Pan.
The droid tells them that Captain Rennod was betrayed by his concubine and the crew all died when the ship crashed onto At Attin.
Wim misses his dad and his mom. Jod tells him to forget all his “attachments.” He also says “Your focus determines your reality” which is a Qui-Gon Jinn quote.
They arrive on the planet of Skull Ridge Mountain to find it's now a Neutral Planet named Lanupa. (This is a new planet created for the show)
SM-33 says the planet has other names: The Demon's Nest, Battle World… Lanupa which is an adults only kinda place. No children allowed.
Since children aren't allowed, Jod tells the resort manager they are the wise elders from the Bratric System. Wim's disguise resembles Davey Jones from Pirates of the Caribbean.
The Banking Clan is also visiting the spa for an economic summit.
Jod pays off the hotel manager and says their reservation is under the name Professor Gorelox.
Pokkit (Kelly Macdonald aka Merida from Brave) recognizes Jod, calling him Dash Zentin. She's a Bounty Hunter for a private client. She tells the kids not to trust this sleemo– Huttese for slime ball.
Pokkit contacts Brutus to tell him where to find Jod aka Silvo.
Wim, Fern, and SM-33 are looking for the symbol of Captain Rennod. They pass a Hutt soaking in the mud bath.
Neel, KB, and Jod get stopped by an officer. Jod tells them to run because he is definitely not Gorelox from Scipio. Scipio is an ice planet in the Outer Rim that was the headquarters of the Intergalactic Banking Clan.
Wim tells Cthallops (Patrick Seitz)the story about how the children came to be on Lanupa. He then helps the children by breaking the stone that had Reno's symbol on it, allowing them to access the lair.
Brutus and his crew arrive on Lanupa and immediately begin to track down Silvo.
They get to the entrance to Rennod's lair but they are blocked by a pool of acid. After solving that riddle they make it into the lair. Jod warns them not to watch any of the treasure because it is booby trapped too…like the Cave of Wonders.
Wim finds a lightsaber hilt and looks at it like Aladdin looking at the lamp.
They find the Captain's Log. Accessing it they find the coordinates to home and a recording made by Rennod- At Attin is the last Old Republic Mint.
Jod challenges Fern as per the Pirate's Code. Fern yields and Jod tells SM-33 to take them prisoner. Wim helps them escape but Jod, using The Force, takes the lightsaber.
