All The Pixar Hoppers Easter Eggs You May Have Missed
The opening scene shows a beaver coming to life, similar to how Frankenstein’s Monster also becomes alive.
Young Mabel is trying to save the class turtle whose name is Crush from Finding Nemo.
During her attempted escape with all the animals, the Pizza Planet Truck is seen in the display case by the exit door.
Mabel is looking at Tuby (in-universe version of Tubi).
Mable’s phone case has a Wilderness Explorers Badge from Up! and an Alien from Toy Story.
Dr. Sam is modeled after Doc Brown from Back to the Future.
When she becomes a Beaver, she meets a lot of different animals. There is a shot of a bunny and a skunk hanging out, this is in reference to Thumper and Flower from Bambi.
King George tells Mabel that even though it is crowded there is “always room for one more.” That is a famous quote from the Disney Parks’ attraction The Haunted Mansion.
He also says they’re “all in this together,” a famous song from High School Musical.
George’s story of how he became king sounds a lot like Simba’s in The Lion King.
Watching cat videos, there is an orange cat that looks a little like Sox but also Squeakers from The Incredibles.
Diane the Shark moves and attacks like the one in Jaws. The shark in Jaws is a Great White but in reality it was a Bull Shark as those can be found in fresh water sometimes.
When Diane comes back to help with the fire by breaking the dam, it is a Free Willy moment.
The Pixar Theory or the Grand Unifying Theory of Pixar Movies
This is the fandom theory that all Pixar movies are tied to each other. It seems like Pixar is finally ready to confirm it or at the very least join in on the speculating fun. Towards the end of the movie, when Mabel visits Dr. Sam’s lab again, the good doctor mentions that she has ideas for a ton of new projects. On the chalkboard, you can look closely to see some of these inventions:
- A Talking Dog Collar with a little sketch of Dug from Up.
- A Cat Companion which is clearly Sox from Lightyear
- A Cleaning Robot of Some Kind with a sketch of WALL-E
Dr. Sam’s lab room is designated as A113.
