A Twi’lek padawan named Devon Izara is also living in hiding on Janix with her master Eeko-Dio Daki.
They have some issues with a police droid. Daki urges her to comply so she hands off her robe and lightsaber to him and goes with the droids.
She meets Captain Brander Lawson. He first appeared in Shadow of Maul #1, a comic book that ties into the series. Lawson is a former Bounty Hunter.
The bank that was robbed is owned by Nico Deemis. They suspect it was Looti Vario who orchestrated the attack. Deemis wants to meet with Vario.

Lawson accesses the files of the Police Droid and sees Maul. A Laser Sword? Haven’t seen one of those since The Clone Wars. Maul’s file is sealed by the ISB.
Vario and Deemis meet and the latter warns that Maul is back.

Maul finds Vario in the jail and spares his life in exchange for his help to get to the Pykes and their leader Krim.
