Cassian is preparing to kill Dedra when he notices they are putting barricades up around the Imperial building. He realizes they're building a fortress and something is wrong.
Dedra seems to be agitated by Kaido and Krennic's dealings on Ghorman. Partagaz dismisses her concerns.
An officer comes to get Syril. All Imperial employees are to report immediately to the IOC building.
Rylanz has figured out something is about to happen and wants to stop the protests. He sees Syril on the streets and wants to know why mining equipment has been brought to Ghorman. “What are you trying to steal from us?”
The hotel receptionist tells Cassian that Rebellions are built on hope.
Stormtroopers are watching the protests as Tie Fighters fly overhead.
Inside the IOC building, Syril and the others are being guarded by KX series security droids.
Troopers move to close off the exits to the plaza and the Ghorman people begin singing.
Syril asks Dedra what the Empire is doing on Ghorman. She tells him she is just following orders. He gets angry and attacks her. She tells him why they are there – to mine the mineral. He leaves her and the building, going back to the plaza.
Dedra gives the order to fire. An Imperial officer shoots another, allowing the rest of the troopers to begin firing on the crowd. Syril attacks Cassian but Rylanz kills Syril.
Cassian finds Wilmon and tells him they need to get to their ship. The KX droids are now in the street attacking people. One almost kills Cassian but Samm shoots it down. Wilmon won't leave though, he wants Cassian to tell people what happened on Ghorman.
Before boarding his ship, Cassian decides to take the KX series droid with him. This is K-2SO.
A broadcast goes out into the galaxy about the slaughter that is happening on Ghorman. Dedra is upset while Eedy is in tears as she watches the news.
