UNREAL Candy Unjunking Your Halloween

October 12, 2012 By Ashley 8 Comments

Everyone knows that not only am I super, duper picky about what my family eats, but I also am not very big on giving my children junk. But every once in awhile they want treat and I do too. The issue was either I would have to drive 30mins to my closest health food store or I had to swallow the fact they were getting candy who's ingredients read like a science experiment. Yuck.

A few months ago I was introduced to UNREAL candy and I fell in love! Not only does it taste amazing but I can find it nearby, and it doesn't have all those nasty ingredients in it. Now I can satisfy my sweet tooth, my kids get to have a special treat, and everyone is happy. Win-win! I also love being able to share my favorite brands with my friends. That is one reason I was excited to host an ice cream social featuring the tasty and unjunked UNREAL candy.

A “clean” eating, organic loving chick promoting a candy isn't that a contradiction? Nope and let me tell you why. UNREAL is different and it's not just some frou fr0u health food store candy. This candy can be found right in your neighborhood, in the same aisle as those other guys, and it costs the same. Awesome right?

So what makes UNREAL so different?

UNREAL is made WITHOUT:

  • GMOs
  • Corn Syrup
  • Artificial Colors, Flavors, and Preservatives
  • Trans Fat (partially hydrogenated oils)

UNREAL is made WITH:

  • Real Milk
  • Cane Sugar
  • More Cacao
  • Organic Palm Fruit Oil
  • 30% Less Sugar, 250% More Protein, 60% More Fiber (on average per serving)

These bags were filled with UNREAL goodness. I hope everyone realizes how hard it was for me to put these together and not to eat all the candy!

Setting up for the ice cream social. Everyone was welcome to sample whatever type of UNREAL they wanted!

My baby boy and my friend, enjoying their ice cream: Vanilla with UNREAL 41. I must be the coolest mom ever, ice cream and candy before lunch is pretty awesome.

Another friend's ice cream creation: UNREAL 77 on the bottom topped with vanilla ice cream and UNREAL 54.

I already loved UNREAL before this party but now that I have shared it with my friends they understand why I love it so much! Here are some of the quotes from them about UNREAL.

“Wow the peanut butter actually tastes like peanut butter. I buy organic peanut butter and this is what it tastes like!”

“Milky Way bars have always been my favorite. This UNREAL 5 tastes way better then those.  And it has more protein and less sugar, I love this candy!”

“I'm going to buy this candy to hand out to trick or treaters.”

“UNREAL 8 is my favorite.”

“I can't pick a favorite, they are all too good!”

“The colors of the candy coated chocolates are really cool. Love the retro look of the bags too. Fun!”

“Better for me and tastes great, now I have an excuse to go buy candy!”

After the party, one friend was headed to another dessert party. She called to tell me she was going to pickup some UNREAL at the store and share it with her friends. They all loved it and one who is a chef liked that the ingredients were not only of high quality but actually ones she uses when she bakes.

You can find UNREAL at your local CVS, Walgreens, BJs, Krogers, Rite Aid, Michaels, Staples, and more. Halloween is coming, so go get your UNREAL candy and try to save some for the kids 😉 Hey no judging here, I am speaking to myself too!
