Last week I hinted at a secret I was keeping. Honestly, I hate counting my chickens before they hatch so I kept it from you (and everyone else I know) until I had received all confirmations. Well, all my chickens have hatched so here it is. Drum roll please…
I AM RUNNING A 5K!

Yes you read that right, so pick your jaw up off the floor. And in case you are wondering, hell has not frozen over. If you are new here and wondering why that is shocking let me tell yah a bit about myself: 1. I HATE running and 2. I HATE running.
My best friend and I are running this thing together. It is the Color Me Rad 5K and it looks like the perfect one for a nonrunner to start with. I can't wait to get color bombed! We started training today, using the couch to 5K program. I have Zumba tonight and I am sure my legs aren't going to be too pleased with me.
I also shared that I was weirdly craving water. So to keep up that good momentum, I have also decided to up how much water I drink. Unlike every other attempt at this I have actually stuck to it these past 3 days. Although, I do dislike having to pee every 30minutes like I am 9mos preggos.
To all my runners: Any tips and tricks for 2 newbies starting out?

I am signing up for two of them myself and I am freaking out! I can’t run more than a couple minutes at a time so I think I am definitely going to check out the couch to 5k 🙂

Congrats! Color me rad is a blast!! My only tip I have for you is to be mindful of your pace. It was the best advice I got when I started running. If I was struggling to make the whole interval in c25k I just had to slow down a bit and it was a lot easier!
