Celebrate Earth Day with Born in China

Celebrate Earth Day with Born in China

A few months ago, the family and I screened Disneynature's Born in China. I knew it was going to be an amazing adventure, if you have seen any of the other Disneynature films you know I am right. But wow, it was stunning. China is far more beautiful than I think I could have ever imagined. The terrains and the wildlife that the filmmakers encountered are breathtaking.

The newest Disneynature film is narrated by John Krasinski and it takes the viewer on an epic journey into the wilds of China where few people have ever ventured. We meet Ya Ya and Mei Mei, the mother and daughter pandas. Tao Tao the mischievous little golden monkey who feels he has lost his place in the family thanks to a baby sister. Dawa, the elusive mother snow leopard who faces the very real drama of raising her two cubs in one of the harshest and most unforgiving environments on the planet. Plus a host of other animals who who call China home.

Bring your tissues. Nature films always get me right in the feels. I personally become so invested in the lives of the animals it's like they are my own. It is hard not to feel the joys and the anguish of these mothers as you watch their stories unfold.

The storytelling and cinematography blend together to form an amazing experience that draws you into the movie and leaves you feeling inspired and wanting to do all you can to save these animals.

Help Protect the Wild Pandas and Snow Leopards in China just by seeing the movie.

When you see Born in China opening week it will benefit the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). Disneynature through the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund, will make a donation to the WWF to help protect wild pandas and snow leopards in China.
