X-Men 97 Season 2 Episode 6 Easter Eggs & Breakdown
Apocalypse is about to kill Magneto. Xavier and Magnus speak to each other, apologizing. Apocalypse kills Magneto and instead of killing Xavier, calls him an ant and walks away.
Xavier is in the Danger Room, repeatedly running the simulation of the day Magneto died. He feels like a failure and doesn’t know how to live in a world without his friend.
Polaris is flying near a port. She is after a shipment of fire and vibranium weapons that are in route to Reverend Stryker.
Stryker’s followers, The Purifiers, attack. But Polaris defeats them. She is there on behalf of the X-Factor and the US Government.
Dr. Cooper tells Polaris to stand down. She is turning into the next Magneto and alludes to the fact that Magneto is her dad. She is kicked out of X-Factor and returns to the Mansion and Xavier’s School For Gifted Youngsters.
Storm is now the headmistress of the school. Xavier wants the children to be pushed to the test to ensure their strength won’t fail them. The Danger Room has been listening to Xavier and makes a decision to “help” him.
Jean, Cyclops, and Beast greet Polaris in her old room. While she goes to talk to Xavier, Mr. Fantastic can be seen in the background playing with the kids.
Danger in the Danger Room- Wing is injured and almost dies. Bishop and Storm work together to help him. Danger Room locks them in and tells them this is now a trial by fire. Synch speaks to them- it is using Bishop’s memories to recreate his future.
The Danger Room has now transformed into a killing machine- Danger.
In the comics, the Room manipulated Wing to unalive himself which then voided the safeguards. Danger then turns on the X-Men, determined to kill them all. Eventually it creates a humanoid female form and fights the X-Men as Danger.
Beast, Xavier, Jean, and Cyclops attempt to fight Danger. On Genosha, Danger finds Xavier and tries to kill him. Polaris and Bishop show up, because only Polaris has the power to take her down. Bishop will absorb her run-off energy to protect the others. Xavier shares his memories of Magnus with her so she can learn more about her father and tap into her true potential.
Xavier forms X-Corps on Genosha. Dr. Cooper says the justice department will challenge his authority.
In the comics, X-Corps was formed by Banshee and whether they were good or bad was up for debate. They were a mutant police force.
Xavier senses Apocalypse. Meanwhile, in Athens below the Parthenon, Apocalypse is beginning a ritual to bring Gambit back. He will awaken as one of his horsemen… the Horsemen of Death.
