VisionQuest Episode 1 Easter Eggs, Breakdown, & Recap

“I was Vision”–  Vision has flashbacks of his memories with Wanda including moments from Age of Ultro. He mentions other AI- Friday, DUM-E and U, JARVIS, and EDITH.

He understands the old Vision’s memories but doesn’t feel the same feelings. He is disconnected. I am Vision and yet I am not.

The Old Selkie– a bar in Edinburgh where Vision works. He goes by the name Sherwood. Sherwood is the street name where Wanda and Vision’s house was located in Westview.

Sanford and Son is playing on the tv.

Fiona Guthrie asks him about the redhead she always saw him with (Infinity War). He tells her she was crushed under the weight of a mountain – Multiverse of Madness.

Code is leaking on the china. It is a security breach.

Reading the newspaper- VISION TODAY. “Tech Giant murdered. Butcherbird wings carved beneath victim baffles police.”

JARVIS tells Vision- My code was written before yours.

Vision isn’t worried about the leak. He says no one is looking for him, not SWORD or the Avengers.

EDITH calls Jarvis Jeeves… RIP to Ask Jeeves.

All the AIs are concerned about his friend upstairs– Ultron played by James Spader.

VisionQuest episode 1 easter eggs breakdown recap

Vision goes to the movies. The posters show Birth, LOVE, Death, Re/VISION, and Coming Soon which is just Vision sitting in the movie theater watching himself in the chair.

Watching Vision Memory OG 1211 ALPHA– A Tale of Vision. Age of Ultron, Civil War, and Infinity War.

But what is grief if not love persevering?

Hacked SWORD Files begin playing on the screen- WandaVision when he meets his son. DUM-E and U tell him Ultron is the one who told them to play this.

Ultron tells him he didn’t ask to be copied and pasted from Sokovia into a prison he made for both of them.

Ultron wants to go to the Lourve, Met, Modern, and Prado or just take control of a missile system and burn humanity to ash.

TO get a message past JARVIS firewall, he sends out a carrier pigeon- Ultron 5 Encryption.

Mercenaries shoot Fiona and she dies. Vision looks for the man leading the mercenaries. Paladin is that man. He didn’t want any civilians killed.

Paladin tells the client that Johnny 5 is still alive. He uses SWORD encryption to hack the feed into Vision’s home, He also compares Thanos to a scrotum.

In the comics, Paladin is an enhanced human mercenary, private investigator, and former soldier whose identity isn’t really known. He does use the alias Paul Denning.

They get Ultron to help because he is a bad guy. Vision threatens him with deletion if he misbehaves.

JARVIS thinks they should reach out to Clint Barton or Bruce Banner. Ultron was the one who leaked his location to Paladin.

Sherwood Ellis- their home was at the corner of Sherwood and Ellis.

Paladin is drinking Swaford– a fictional whiskey from Star Trek Picard.

Tommy Maximoff is living life as a grifter in London. He sees the news showing Vision is still alive. He has flashbacks. Paladin takes him and sends a message to Vision- I have your son.
