Elemental Easter Eggs & Puns

June 15, 2023 By Ashley Leave a Comment

Disney Pixar's Elemental is now in theaters! Pixar's latest is a technical marvel that is funny, timely, endearing, and absolutely gorgeous. Naturally it's packed with Pixar easter eggs for fans to find. From the Pizza Planet Truck to Hidden Mickeys and Pixar puns to Jane Austen, here are all the Elemental Easter eggs and puns you may have missed.

Possible spoilers ahead if you haven't seen Elemental. This list will be updated when I watch it again. If you caught any I missed let me know, I'm still hunting for the Pixar Ball.

Elemental Easter Eggs

Elemental Easter Eggs

One of the ships is named the Royal Garden Lines, a nod to Royal Caribbean and Disney Cruise Lines.

Salty Sea, the yellow ship resembles the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage at Disneyland

Right after Bernie and Cinder enter Element City there is a Hidden Mickey to the left in the buildings that can be seen after the door opens.

The Cloud People are the same design as the ones from the Pixar Short Partly Cloudy which is also directed by Peter Sohn.

Elemental Easter Eggs good dinosaur flintstones

Inside the Fireplace, Bernie and Cinder's shop, there are several books for sale. One has a picture of Arlo from The Good Dinosaur, Elemental's director Peter Sohn also directed that film.

Another book is titled Flints and Stones which is a nod to the Flintstones and another says Rock Paper Scissors.

On the boxes Ember is delivering is the word KAPOW. This is one of the many words that popped up on screen with Mr. Incredible in The Incredibles.

Also during her deliveries she speeds around a Treeyota– this is the Pizza Planet Truck. There is also a Hidden Mickey in the logs.

Introducing Wade Ripple who gets sucked into the store via the pipes. The Elemental Easter Egg in Lightyear was Wade Water in the vending machine.

Pixar's 2024 film also has an easter egg in Elemental but I did not spot the Elio easter egg yet! The filmmakers revealed it is one of the characters they worked in so eyes peeled everyone!

When Ember gets off the train in Element city there is a bench that says Eat at Ralph’s. This is not a nod to Wreck-it-Ralph but rather Ralph Eggleston the Pixar animator, designer, and legend that Peter Sohn called his mentor.

Gale's office is A113 the classroom at CalTech many Pixar artists spent a lot of time in.

Elemental Easter Eggs cropdusters cars

At the Airball game it is the Windbreakers vs Cropdusters. Cropdusters is a nod to Dusty Crophopper the Crop duster from Planes and Planes Fire & Rescue.

One of the sponsors is Flagstone tires which is from the Cars franchise.

Ember and Wade go to the movies to see Tide and Prejudice. Which is interesting not only for the pun but because Elemental is very Pride and Prejudice like with Ember the Elizabeth Bennet and Wade the Mr. Darcy although with more feelings.

Outside the theater there are movie posters including Partly Cloudy and The Good Element (aka The Good Dinosaur).

Inside Wade's house there is artwork on the wall that remembers the Inside Out characters deconstructed. Similar to how Joy and Sadness looked in the danger area or as Bing Bong called it the shortcut.

How punny, Wade's nephews are named Marco and Polo, a classic pool game.

Elemental is now in theaters. It is rated PG for some peril, thematic elements and brief language with a runtime of 103 minutes. Pixar short Carl's Date plays before it.
